A sad day for Dr Hook fans everywhere .
Robert Jance Garfat was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on I-880 (Nimitz Freeway) in Alameda County , Ca
Having swerved to avoid a dead dog on the highway, he was then hit by an on-coming car and killed instantly .

Hi Guys, I remember a song you did for public TV back in the 70's.As I remember it was on V.D.
It went "Don't give a dose to the one you love most,
you can give her some marmalade or give her some toast,
but the dose that you give her will come back to you........"
I think you were walking through a Large vagina or something pink.(very tasteful ! Andy:o) )
Do you remember this??? and if so what was the rest of the song.
Thanks from Don Giammarrusco

Very nice site (Thanks - Andy :o) )
I must say I met Bill about 4 years ago and fell in love with his family and learned a lot from his wisdom and point of views on life.
I have started a small record label that pays my bills so I am very happy with my results.
Bill , if you ever read this: thank you for letting me stay at your house and listening to the BS I brought upon everyone.
If I make it big u are the biggest credit to my success ! U taught me that I dont have to be wealthy to be rich all you need is desire.

Thank you for a great website on DR Hook. (No ! Thank YOU for dropping in ! Andy :o) )
Suzanne and I are in our mid 40's and still love to play Dr. Hook.
Obviously our original tapes are worn out,but we have been buying CD's when we see them.
Unfortunately we have not seen any of the original albums on cd.
We just purchased another cd today and have been playing it all afternoon - LOUD of course.
Our son's keep telling us to turn it down. It used to be my mum & dad saying that.
Keep up the great work.(I'll try !)

Hello Over There People,
Your site is fabulous!
Hey an error is listed with the songs on 36 All Time Greatest Hits cd between when your in love & wups:
Sexy Eyes -- should be Sexy Energy
Sexy Eyes is #7 track on volume one, Sexy Energy is #8 track on volume two.
Not only do I own that cd, but I also wrote the song for Dr Hook--so that's why I noticed.
Thanks, Greg Bowen

Dear DR. HOOK,
you lot may might brag about being "fags" lol! But you got the talent to get away with it. I got no talent and you made me cry with joy and sadness, listening to one of your LPs, and to read that two of your number have passed on - an' I'm playing your Completely Hooked whilst doing all this.
Wish you lot had been visible in UK or Australia, during the 70s.
You're such a tough, 'ornery looking bunch of ex-cons (I 'd have have run a mile had I bumped into you in the street!!) BUT YOU have written?-and recorded some of the most romantic, heart-ripping music I have ever heard !!
Would have loved to laugh with you too ...I had a girl-friend who used to play your LPs whilst ironing ... or just play them non-stop for hours on end. I always wake up when the show s over ...
love to all etc, thanks for the pleasure -- peter birns

thank you for the time and efort you put into this web..

Andy! You & I have been fans of Hook & DL for years and years, and I am absolutely certain our two "Guestbooks" can exist happily along side each other, so as an uncompetitive soul I hope our "mutual" contributors will continue to read and post on both. I had an amusing review of Wenesday's "Brook" show e-mailed to me which I've posted on my guestbook - anyone out there recognise themselves from the description! Any suggestions, Mr May? Keep up the great work, Andy. Ray

Thanks Andy for this - what a surprise I got when I tried to look in on the GB this last couple of days - I had no idea. I feel sure no-one intended to insult anyone on either side, it will be lovely to still be able to stay in touch with you all, and I hope I'm not the only one who doesnt feel aggrieved (wot no spell check!!) with Dennis. Good luck wherever you are, with whatever you are doing. Thanks again Andy, much appreciated

Yep, and I'm one of them Ivan... it's certainly no way to treat fans that have remained loyal for so long!! The site should have remained a fan's site - we were all assured that nothing would change weren't we?.....ummmmmmm!!! Anyway, life's too short - let's look at the positive here. The man STILL has a singing voice to die for, and we've now got TWO sites - Andy's and Ray's!!!....OH!..and the added bonus of freedom of speech!

Hi Andy, great idea! I Dont want to get too political but I cant pretend it hasnt happened. I am afraid I think this says a lot about the man. I love the music and always will but my great worry has always been `what if I dont like the man?` I think, no I know, a lot of GB`s feel insulted at the moment. Take care!
